My Entrepreneurship Story

Hey,

I have been around a very successful entrepreneur my entire life. My father who grew up in a poor neighborhood and struggled for most of his childhood began his own business around the time that I was born, and has taken his business to heights his industry has not seen. He is a customs broker and is the founder and CEO of one of the largest customs brokerage firms in Miami, my hometown. I have learned a lot from him, about life and also business. He has taught me to never give up on my dreams because your big break could be right around the corner and you might not even know it.

I enrolled in ENT3003 because I would like to develop a more innovative mindset and become an entrepreneur. In the future, I would like to open my own stock brokerage firm, and I believe that this class can lay the foundation that I need in order to do so.

  2. Wow, that's really awesome that your dad was able to overcome so much. It's great that he was successful and you we able to grow up with such an amazing example of true entrepreneurship. Are you planning on working with him after graduation? I was able to do an internship for a small engineering firm during the summer and it taught me a lot about starting your own company. It’s great that you have a close family member who can help you start your own business.

  5. I find your story to be extremely relatable because I admire my own father for similar reasons. I think anyone that has the opportunity to learn from a parent, or parent-figure has the unique opportunity study someone else's abilities while honing their own. I hope you've taken that opportunity to do that, and I hope you were able to add on to that legacy. I didn’t work with my father, but I did work with someone who is well known and well respected in the community, and that meant a lot to me. Keep up the good work.
